About Lauren page

Our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. The creative path-makers for spirituality such as Cecil B. Demille, Mel Gibson, and Dallas Jenkins--men who weren't and aren't afraid to work against Hollywood to make the stories of the Bible real for those who are hungry and in need of God. Aesthetically speaking, I'm drawn to the neutrality of darkness---the glow of dripping candles, roses, faint light from stained glass. The feeling we had in the 2000s when we browsed the web at night and found cool websites or music that touched our souls, which for me has been a little bit of everything. One day I can be sinking into Depeche Mode or Type O Negative, the next I can be swaying around town to Ella Langley in my cowgirl hat. In that soft darkness, I am a lover of life and an incessant dreamer.

I predominantly work with Copic markers and ink, as well as extensive collage work that ranges between bullet journaling to digital graphic design. Though I am a UX/UI student with coding experience and a love for nostalgic technology, at my core I will always be an analog artist. My work is a love letter to the greatest Creator of all---for I wouldn't have this need in me to make things with my own hands if I was not first His daughter, made in His image. Static Saint Studio is a sanctuary for the lost, the strange, and the misfits.
